ENGLISH - SERVICE GUIDE AND INTRODUCTIONS


The “Earphone-Guide” provides essential translation of dialogue and lyrics, as well as explanations relating to the stories, music, dance, actors, properties and other aspects of Kabuki & Bunraku that may be difficult for non-Japanese visitors to understand. Comments are carefully timed to coincide with the action on stage.

The “G-Mark Guide” (captioning) service will start in March 2015 at Kabukiza. According to the introduction of this new service, English Earphone-Guide service at Kabukiza will terminate at the end of April 2015.

If you don’t have much time and a full-program seems too long and expensive, why not see a single play of Kabuki performance. You can buy the tickets for just one play only on the day you see the play at the entrance. The seats are in the rear of the theatre. Earphone Guide and programs are also available for a tantalizing glimpse of the Kabuki experience.

You can buy tickets for just one play only on the day you see the play at the entrance to the audience seats on the 2nd floor of the theatre. The seats are in the rear of the theatre. Earphone Guide and programs are also available for a tantalizing glimpse of the Bunraku experience.
